Across the world, an estimated 250 million children cannot read, write or demonstrate basic arithmetic skills. To help solve this problem, XPRIZE launched a global competition in 2014 that challenged teams to develop open-source, scalable software solutions that empower children to take learning into their own hands.

This event celebrated five finalist teams along with partners and supporters, and ultimately pave the way to achieve universal access to quality learning.
