The future of health rests on data—but where do these data come from, and how will we use them?
In this session we’ll explore some of the challenges and opportunities around biomedical data and their impact on personalized, predictive health. We’ll discuss new careers that could arise from the growth of DNA data, digital biomarkers, and AI in healthcare.
We’ll formulate some big questions that need to be asked now in order to support longer, healthier living in the exponential world of the coming decades.
Dr. Tiffany Vora is an educator, writer, research scientist, and entrepreneur who lives in Silicon Valley. She is Vice Chair of Digital Biology and Medicine at Singularity University and a Nonresident Fellow of the GeoTech Center at the Atlantic Council. She earned undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry from NYU and a PhD in Molecular Biology from Princeton University. Dr. Vora previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry, was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the American University in Cairo, was an Instructor in Bioengineering at Stanford University, and founded two companies. She fosters global conversations about humanity’s future with Humanity in Deep Space and ExploreMars, where she is a Board Member. She recently joined the Advisory Board of Lifespan.io, a longevity nonprofit.
